## What Causes a Fat Shots?

Hitting the ground before the ball, losing distance and consistency. Often caused by excess lateral sway or steep angle of attack.

The club head bottoming out behind the ball. A steep downswing or excessive lateral bump can cause this.

### Key frames to check:

-   Low point — is the club hitting the ground behind the ball?
-   P5–P6 — is the path too steep?
